Estimating Assistant

NRG Services are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Estimating / Pre-Contracts Assistant to join our team in Toowoomba! The core function of this full time, permanent role will be to support the wider Estimating team in all tender and EOI proposals and be willing to liaise with clients and other stakeholders to obtain all necessary documentation for tender and EOI proposals. Supported closely by our experienced and professional Estimating team, the successful candidate will have a positive can-do approach with the drive and ambition to be a multi-disciplined member of the Estimating team. To be successful, candidates will be able to demonstrate:
  • Experience in a similar role compiling and submitting tenders in a commercial capacity, preferably construction or construction services based
  • Relevant experience in pricing commercial construction projects would be advantageous
  • Ability to produce fully compliant, high quality and professional tender and EOI documentation
  • Ability to interpret a brief and execute requirements to deliver a high-quality proposal
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, prioritise and meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of initiative and efficiency
  • An exceptional level of verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills

Sheet Metal Duct Installer

Due to our expanding portfolio of commercial construction works, NRG Services are on the lookout for a Sheet Metal Duct Installer to join our team. This opportunity is perfect for candidates with a trade background in either plumbing, roofing or carpentry who are looking for a new opportunity in the commercial construction industry. Successful applicants will be able to demonstrate the following:
  • Minimum 3+years’ experience on either commercial or industrial projects
  • Trade qualification in plumbing, roofing, carpentry or similar preferred
  • Previous experience in sheet metal work, duct joinery and other metal works preferred but not essential
  • Skills in the assembly and installation of sheet metal and flexible duct, fire dampers, air handling equipment, grilles and diffusers would be highly advantageous
  • Working at Heights and EWP preferred but not essential
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings
  • Ability to work autonomously, and cohesively in a team environment
  • Strong time management and prioritisation skills

Safety and Environmental Manager

NRG Services is currently seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Safety and Environmental Manager to join our team to help us build excellence. In this exciting position, individuals that are self-motivated, reliable and have an open and honest approach to communication will excel as they effectively lead safety on projects of all different sizes. This position will lead the delivery of strategic Health and Safety initiatives and outcomes by driving safety leadership and injury prevention, and by providing technical advice on all WHS related matters. Importantly, the Safety and Environmental Manager will build and maintain lasting professional employee, manager, and subcontractor relationships to ensure an effective safety culture is achieved. Successful applicants will be able to demonstrate the following:
  • Vocational or Tertiary qualifications in Safety (minimum Diploma, Advanced Diploma preferred)
  • 5+ years practical experience directly involved in safety management on construction projects
  • Demonstrated experience in environmental management
  • Demonstrated experience in management of rehabilitation and return to work programs
  • Extensive experience and knowledge of workplace health and safety and industrial relations regulations and practices applicable to commercial and industrial construction sites
  • Demonstrated experience working within integrated management systems and formally accredited quality systems including ISO/PQC/FSC
  • Preferable strong grasp of electrical and construction methodologies
  • Electrical trade background would be advantageous
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Previous experience with Procore preferred
  • The ability to work autonomously, and cohesively in a team environment

  • Strong time management and prioritisation skills
