NRG Services completed the Electrical and Communications component of a project to upgrade the Clewley park detention basin and associated park facilities. This project was part of the Toowoomba Regional Council’s (TRC) Gowrie Creek Catchment Management Strategy, a series of flood mitigation works being conducted around the City of Toowoomba.
The facilities upgrade included the installation of 56 pole top mounted energy efficient LED lights and six pole mounted CCTV cameras and all associated control equipment. NRG also conducted a substantial amount of civil electrical works which included; installation of 1.5kms of underground conduit, 85 electrical pits and 3.5 km of cable. They also installed weatherproof light and power fittings in the shade structures constructed in the Park.
With new equipment installed, all existing switchboards were modified and upgraded which meant the installation of field cabinets and media converters to enable the remote access of the new CCTV cameras.
